Roya Rasouli is the founder of FemWear and she is also a menstrual health advocate.
In 2019 her diagnosis of endometriosis, a condition that was misdiagnosed after ten years, changed everything.
Roya pledged to herself and to millions of other women to use her creative skills to help those who are affected by this condition.
She dedicated her research and projects to raising awareness. She also fundraises for Endometriosis and women’s mental health charities.
While working as a 3D fashion designer for various fashion brands for five years, she then decided to embark on a mission close to her heart, full-time.
Her vision for FemWear isn’t just about a clothing brand. It is a community for women who are navigating menstrual and gut health conditions. Roya also runs “Empower Her Endometriosis” walks for anyone living with period pain in greater Manchester, UK.
FemWear is a fashion clothing brand designed and manufactured ethically in the UK, using audited factories.
FemWear empowers women with gynecological health and gut conditions, by providing them with clothing that has been thoughtfully designed to enhance confidence, and comfort and adapt to their unique bodies, without causing more pain.
Roya aspires to be a role model for women from diverse backgrounds, proving that adversity can fuel innovation.
